AN AWAKENING

BISWAJIT

1

Newborn smiled
With eyes closed,

Was clearly Happy

As I supposed.

2
World's disturbance
Shrill light, noise,
Disrupted peace
Thudded tender eyes.

Angel stared
And started crying,
Adaptation began
Continued till dying.

3
World someday
Regrets, ‘Wake up!...’
Instincts ignore,
Senses shut up.

4
Lighting blinds
We perceive haze,
Eyes unopened
Enlightens soul, amaze!

Oh, my! Parts one and two delighted, and then three and four took me into another zone. Ominous. It is a giant leap from the specific to the implications of regret, from the "normal" to the disturbing. maybe I'm reading too much into your poem, but I think you have something here that reaches beyond our times.
