AN AWAKENING

BISWAJIT

1

Newborn smiled
With eyes closed,

Was clearly Happy

As I supposed.

2
World's disturbance
Shrill light, noise,
Disrupted peace
Thudded tender eyes.

Angel stared
And started crying,
Adaptation began
Continued till dying.

3
World someday
Regrets, ‘Wake up!...’
Instincts ignore,
Senses shut up.

4
Lighting blinds
We perceive haze,
Eyes unopened
Enlightens soul, amaze!
