INDEPENDENCE

BISWAJIT

Guardians' guardrails
Tighten up like a claw;
Wonderfully enforced care!
Emperor entails:
Ruler's pleasure is law,
'Arguing? How do you dare!'

Society suffocates,
Terror toggles in dark,
Stagnates air, life-stream.
Courageous colonies
Set sovereign benchmark,
'Free us' becomes holy hymn.

Hon'ble hunters
In an urge to enslave,
Punch bullets to bravery.
Poetize practicality,
I wish could we crave:
Kinship supersedes slavery!
